Across the country you baked over 350,000 cupcakes. 469 of these were entered into our competitions and received over 138,000 votes! To view all the entries from this year please visit the competition page.

My hubby named these "Pup-cakes". There is a choice of vanilla or chocolate flavoured cakes with frosting. Eyes are marshmallows cut in half with mini M&Ms for the pupils. Nose is a normal M&M and the tongue is strawberry 'strapz' cut into a tongue shape. Ears are dark chocolate melted and molded into shape, set in the fridge then added. Some had licorice whiskers added. Yum!

These are my delicious French Vanilla and Chocolate Delight cupcakes made specially for the RSPCA Cupcake day. Each of the cupcakes were topped with a a layer of my irresistible Swiss butter cream and then adorned with selection of hand made sugar figurines like little pigs, bees, flowers, swans and dogs....all edible. Dedicated to my dog Mya and all her fiends. This is a fantastic initiative by the RSPCA and can only hope this grows with time.

The children also got to learn more about the RSPCA through talks by their teacher on the day and cuddling baby ducks and chicks that were donated to the class. These are vanilla cupcakes with musk buttercream frosting. The cats and dogs are lollies from Spain, with little dog bones and metallic sugar balls. The bottom layer doggies were decorated with chocolates for the nose, musk for eyes, and licorice whiskers. I also used the RSPCA cupcake patties.

I made my cupcakes from scratch and decorated them with Pink icing, sprinkles, freckles, M&M's and chocolate legs. I also made extra chocolates legs and squirls just in case my work colleagues forgot to decorate theirs. This was a fun day and the staff loved it.

These are my vanilla and chocolate furry friends. The cats are made with coconut shavings, marshmallows and m&ms. The dogs are made with clinkers, m&ms and chocolate buttons. I am a veterinary nurse, and I sold them at my vet clinic. They were a hit!

On Sunday 16th August my aunty and I spent 5 hours baking up a storm for the RSPCA cupcake day. Within the 5 hours we baked and hand decorated 86 chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. We then sold all of them on the Monday which was the RSPCA cupcake day and raised $195 we are proud to have participated in this event and raised this money for all the great and small creatures out there with no homes.

My RSPCA Cupcake day supporters got to choose from a variety of animals. I made vanilla and chocolate sponge for the base. The chocolate cupcakes had chocolate icing with bear, possum and mouse faces. Vanilla base cupcakes had pink pigs (strawberry flavour icing), yellow chickens (lemon flavour icing), red lady beetles and green frogs both vanilla icing flavour. Each little face was created with a mixture of eadible features made from marshmellows, chocolate chips, liquorice and more. I made and iced 160 cupcakes and sold everyone :) I had so much fun creating my cupcakes and helping the RSPCA!!! Thank you to everyone for supporting my cupcake day :)

Almost too cute to eat, these puppies have been individually handcrafted together with their bone sitting on velvety green grass. Each puppy has had the utmost attention paid to it and has had enormous amounts of tender love and care as each foot, nose, ear and paw was delicately sculpted for The RSPCA Cupcake Day.
