It's back! The biggest bake off in the Southern Hemisphere! Grab your ingredients, dust off your chef's hat and get your mixer ready for Cupcake Day for the RSPCA 2009!
This year's cupcake celebrations will commence on Monday 17 August 2009 - the official national Cupcake Day for the RSPCA. RSPCA Cupcake Cooks across Australia will descend on their schools, workplaces and social groups with batches of yummy homemade cupcakes to sell. 100% of the proceeds will go to the RSPCA.
Last year, you sold over 250,000 cupcakes across Australia. This year, we want to ice that total and add hundreds and thousands!
Along with the 'Most Creative Cupcake', we're also introducing two more competitions:
'Extreme Cupcake Eating' - $100 Red Balloon Day voucher for the team or individual who finds the most outrageous place to eat their cupcake.
'Most Money Raised' - State trophy for the team or individual who raises the most money for the RSPCA.
Whether you want to be an RSPCA Cupcake Cook or simply an RSPCA Cupcake eater - you will be supporting the thousands of animals we care for everyday.

1. Register
To become a Cupcake Cook register here.
2. Receive a Cupcake Kit
Registered Cupcake Cooks will receive a Cupcake Kit in the mail. This includes all the information you need to be part of Cupcake Day for the RSPCA. You can also download posters and email alerts here.
3. Bake up a storm
Purchase your favourite cupcake ingredients and whip up a batch of scrumdiliumptious cupcakes. Let your imagination run free and decorate your cakes like animals. Check out decorating ideas here.
4. Donate
On 17 August, ask your friends, family or colleagues to buy your cupcakes. It's up to you what you charge. How about $2 each or three for $5? Ask your company to match the funds raised by you. Company donations are tax deductible and 100% of proceeds go to the RSPCA.
5. Take a snap...
...and be in the running for some great prizes. Take a photo of your most creative cupcake or extreme cupcake eating, upload it to this site (after 17 May) and be in the running for an RSPCA Merchandise Pack or $100 Red Balloon Day voucher - one of each to be given away in each state.*
