Over the next few weeks I will be baking for change, to help animals in need!
RSPCA, and animal rescue, is a cause close to our hearts, and what better way to help animals in need than by eating delicious baked goods.
We will be doing things a little differently this year (yes, I said WE, because Matt agreed to this crazy ride for a third time around!) in an attempt to make the cupcake baking and buying process a little more stream line and a little less chaotic than the previous years!
This year we will be selling cupcakes in boxes of 6 MIXED flavours, we will make a certain amount of boxes per week, and sell these boxes on SATURDAYS (inshallah - unless there is some kind of kitchen meltdown which you have all been accustomed to over the previous cupcake shenanigans!). You can pre-order your boxes, but we will not be taking flavour orders, and we will not be able to swap out flavours for different flavours unfortunately.
The first week for cupcakes is NEXT WEEK, collection Saturday 3rd August. We will run cupcake month(ish) for THREE WEEKS, with last orders leaving the kitchen on the 17th of August. Every week the flavours will change! I will aim for 1 fruit based flavour, 1 vanilla based flavour, and 1 chocolate based flavour.
At this point I am not sure I will be making vegan boxes, but if this is something you are interested in please express your interest below so I can weigh up whether the extra ingredients, flavours, etc will be worth it.
COSTS.
With the inflation of the world, so must the RSPCA cupcake world change to keep up.
This year we have changed the costing of cupcakes slightly.
6 x mixed flavour cupcakes for $30 directly to our fundraising page, PLUS $2 in cash or transfer for the cupcake boxes.
If you want 12 cupcakes, please purchase 2 x 6 mixed flavour boxes.
Once we have started up, there may be the possibility of selling SINGLE cupcakes depending on whether are cupcakes are left over, and flavours dependent on the day of. Single cupcakes will go for $6, plus $2 for a box. Single cupcakes will be published on instagram and Facebook should they be available, but don't hold out hope!
Please note that we will not be making any profit from this venture, all ingredient costs will be covered by ourselves, all donations go directly to RSPCA, and the $2 goes directly to buying cupcake boxes.
This year we have set a conservative goal of $1,200, HOWEVER, last year with your help and support we managed to crack $1,500, so MAYBE this year we can crack $1,800?!
