Hi, my name’s Shelby , I’m 18 and this year I’ve decided to bake for a cause close to my heart. 🧁🐾
My love for animals started when I was little with my dwarf rabbit, Buttercup, who I even taught tricks and jumps to. Later in life, my mum had a beautiful dog named Broncen. He was so loved, and saying goodbye when he grew older and unwell was heartbreaking. Losing both my mum and Broncen has inspired me to carry on their love for animals by supporting RSPCA Cupcake Day.
I’m lucky to have amazing mates supporting me too—like my best friend Ryan, who’s letting me share his cheeky little dachshund, Frank. Frank’s a real character (a little slinky on legs!) who loves toys, runs, and of course his family.
Alongside baking, I’m a supervisor and bartender, as well as a carer for my 86-year-old Nan. Life can be busy, but I’ve always had the passion to give back and support causes that matter. For me, that starts right here—with animals who need our help.
