Cupcake Day falls on a Monday this year, which we think is the perfect day to enjoy some sweet treats in the office! However if your team is run off their paws, feel free to have your workplace Cupcake Day any time in August. We guarantee you’ll be the most pawpular person at work.
Planning an Event at Work
Remember to check with your supervisor whether it will be okay for you to host a Cupcake Day in the office. Once they’ve given an enthusiastic yes, you can decide together on the best date and time to have your celebration.
It’s also a great idea to ask your manager or supervisor whether they’d be willing to dollar match your fundraising efforts. This means that for every dollar you raise, they match it – a huge win for the animals!
Register online as a Cupcake Day host and you’ll be sent your host kit, containing everything you need to spread the icing. Oh, we mean… the word!
Pop up your posters in the weeks leading up to your event and make sure to get as many people in the office involved in the baking as you can.
Remind everyone a few days before about your Cupcake Day event, and everyone should be right on track for producing some truly delicious goodies.
Don’t forget to tell them what their hard-earned funds are going to be put towards! Your colleagues will love knowing that they’re doing their part to help the animals.
Finally, put your baking and creative skills to the test and whip up some goodies. Eat and enjoy!
Be sure to inform your colleagues on the day of the best way for them to donate, whether this be online through your fundraising page or whether you’d rather take cash.
If your colleagues have decided to donate cash, then simply transfer an identical amount from your credit or debit card to your personal fundraising page. Easy as pie!
